MY STORY

How it started...

 

Food is my life long passion. I love everything about food.. cooking, gardening, canning, and catering. I can't remember when I decided to cook for a living... It's as if cooking chose me. My earliest food memories go back to the early 80's when I was a very young girl. Every Sunday, after church I would get to watch Julia Child on t.v. I loved her personality and courageous approach to food. She truly loved her craft and it showed. She left an impression on me.


I have been cooking professionally for over 16 years. I hold an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor's Degree in Nutriton. I have worked every position in professional kitchens. So, I do come with some street credit, I guess you could say.

 

Food is the center of life. Cooking does not need to be complicated. The keys to cooking well are technique and quality. Practice the basic techniques... Use quality ingredients and equipment. That's about it.
